Spring field of wheat

About Us

WECAN was originally an outgrowth of WSU Extension. However, climate change encompasses many different fields of endeavor and many disparate organizations are chipping away at some part of the problem.

We expanded the charter of WECAN to emphasize more broadly networking among the various climate related organizations within Washington State so that we could offer an increasingly valuable resource for educators and people in our state who want to connect in search of ways to find greater impact for their climate solutions.

Join the Leadership Team

The Leadership Team meets on the alternate months when we are not having a full WECAN meeting. We gather to plan future meetings, advance priority projects and strategize to facilitate the growth of our network.

The science involved in better understanding our changing climate is always advancing and we welcome new blood into our group in order to keep our perspective fresh on this challenging field.
